Your role

As the Shutdown & Turnaround Manager you are responsible for the program management of all CRE’s planned asset maintenance activities that require operational downtime (stops, cabin maintenance, etc.).

Your mission is to minimize the necessity for paused production by activating both technical and organizational solutions for the CRE activities navigating the production planning without disturbing it.

Center of gravity being the efficient organization of (annual) production stop(s) together with CRE projects, and the effective use of ‘cabin maintenance’, to allow for CRE activities (maintenance and projects) without unexpected impact on the business processes.

You collaborate with competence managers, maintenance providers and technical facility managers to investigate technical solutions for minimizing the maintenance impact on business processes.

Together with the Asset Management Specialists you provide the shutdown & turnaround strategy, providing guidelines for the operation.

You work closely with the Maintenance Project Portfolio Manager, maintenance providers and ASML business planners to align the activity planning.

This role demands strong stakeholder management, standardization for efficiency, smart use of data for necessary insights, challenging technical install-base and organizational way of working and leadership for operational excellence.

Peers in your team are the Technical Facility and Services Managers, Operations Improvement Manager and Maintenance Project Portfolio Manager.

You will report to the Manager Operations / Tactical Asset Management.

ASML CRE-NL’s main responsibilities are securing Operational Safety and Business Continuity for all of our factories and offices on and off site in the Netherlands.

Your tasks

Develop and define the shutdown & turnaround strategy, aligned with asset management strategy and the priority model.

Create runbook and RASCI for facility stops and cabin maintenance

Set op governance for shutdown & turnaround and cabin maintenance management

Securing necessary agreements with contractors for effectively executing the maintenance related unavoidable productions stops.

Create and manage the budget for shutdown & turnaround

Together with stakeholders and experts investigate technical and organizational improvements reducing (risk on) impact in the production planning related to the maintenance activities.

Manage the necessary data / information needed for planning and executing the shutdown & turnaround and cabin maintenance.

Work with suppliers to continuously optimize the maintenance planning during the year for the maintenance activities that cannot be done during normal operations, by using cabin maintenance, local shutdowns (due to projects) in close alignment with users

Manage project leadership of the shutdown & turnaround during the year facilitating the necessary maintenance and project activities that cannot be done during normal business operations.

Manage the risk mitigation related to shutdown & turnaround related activities

Your profile

Completed bachelor or master degree in engineering, asset management, business administration or equivalent

At least 5-8 years of relevant experience in a similar complex (industrial) environment

Strong leadership skills

Analytical

Experienced project / program / portfolio manager (PM-BOK, etc)

Social skills; emphatic, listening, enthusing, creating room for innovation / creativity, coaching & collaborating

Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, dealing with senior and medior management levels, peers, teams, service providers, contractors and consultants

Strongly results-orientated with a corresponding sense of responsibility; directs work and ensures accountability

Excellent decision making skills in fast-changing and complex environments, and capable of dealing with uncertainties

Fluent in spoken and written business English
