Our Department

The Biophysics and Process Analytics team is part of Cell and Gene Therapy -Analytical Development responsible for viral vector characterization and scientifically sound analytical solutions to advance viral vector process development. Our responsibilities include scouting exploration and implementation of novel analytical technologies for viral vectors.

Job description:

We are looking for a highly skilled scientist who enjoys working in a multidisciplinary team. She/he will be leading the scientific content of projects and guide team members involved in different parts of them. The position is focused on leading the scientific component of development projects. The ideal candidate is:

Science minded flexible and dynamic in approaches and has a proven and robust theoretical and experimental track record in the field of bioanalytics with comprehensive experience with techniques such as: Mass Spectrometry fluorescence and circular dichroism and/or FTIR and Raman spectroscopy multi-angle and dynamic light scattering capillary isoelectric focusing electrophoresis isothermal and differential scanning calorimetry biomolecular interactions mass spectrometry atomic force and/or electron microscopy.

Robust theoretical knowledge and hands on experience with lentiviral vectors with proven track record in driving technological innovation in the field.

• Experienced with product characterization project strategy and technology onboarding.

• Experienced with process analytics technologies.

• Experienced with leading research and development teams

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

PhD in biochemistry biophysics and/or protein chemistry with 8 years experience in the field and proven track record in biophysical and biochemical analytics and/or process analytics technologies

Competences:

The successful candidate is flexible has a scientific mind set and likes teamwork and outside the box approaches. She/he acts as a mentor and is eager to share both his/her theoretical and experimental knowledge and keen to explore new technologies. Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team are equally important as independent planning and execution of tasks.
