Why this Role Matters

As Helin scales, finance operations must keep pace. Accurate bookkeeping, clean AP/AR flows, and documented processes are the foundation for reliable reporting and fast decision-making across the business.

This is an operational, hands-on finance role. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll own day-to-day bookkeeping in Exact Online and manage all supplier and customer payment flows.

You'll process transactions, chase outstanding invoices, reconcile bank entries, and keep records audit-ready. Every entry you make feeds reporting used by leadership to steer the company.

What You'll Achieve

• Process and book all accounting transactions in Exact Online with accuracy and consistency.
• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable end-to-end: vendor inquiries, customer follow-ups, and missing receipt tracking.
• Post and allocate bank transactions daily. Prepare weekly payment runs through internal approval processes.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities under the guidance of the Financial Controller.
• Maintain company asset registers in Exact Online and supporting tools.
• Document your workflows, so the entire team can use and build on them.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Be comfortable working with multiple financial operating systems Exact Online, and other.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance operations.
• Solid understanding of core accounting principles: purchase entries, bank reconciliations, supplier vs. customer flows.
• Strong working knowledge of Excel and MS Office.
• Process-driven mindset: you follow calendars, steps, and deadlines without shortcuts.
• Ownership of your tasks. You finish work the same day when possible, escalate when something is unclear, and document answers, so questions only get asked once.
• Learning mindset and logical thinking.
• You ask, learn, and support the documentation.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.

• Experience in a startup or scale-up environment.
• Interest in new technologies(e.g., using AI to support finance workstreams).
• Dutch language skills (helpful for some internal communication, not required).

Additional Information

• Location: Rijswijk, Netherlands (hybrid: 3 days in office per week)
• Compensation: Base salary, pension plan, SARs plan, and benefits to be discussed during the interview process.
• Learning budget: €3,000 annual budget for courses, conferences, and training.
• Work authorization: Netherlands required. No visa sponsorship available.
