We are looking for a student with an interest in research (design) for the role of a teaching assistant for the module Preparation Master Thesis for the Engineering and Policy Analysis (EPA) Master program. As you might know, this module aids students in designing a novel, rigorous, and feasible policy-relevant research study and is a prerequisite for the EPA Master Thesis.
This role could entail the following responsibilities :
i) constructing a dataset of policy-relevant research that serves as a basis for a textbook on the topic;
ii) exploring to what extent a machine learning algorithm can help identify characteristics of policy relevant research, such as type of policy analysis, policy domain(s), level of government, geographies examines, and theories and methods used;
ii) and assisting with the organization of the class and the teaching environment in Q2 and Q4.
You will fulfill these responsibilities in close coordination with the teaching team. As a teaching assistant for this module, you will have an opportunity to strengthen your knowledge of public policy and research design; enhance your skills in analysis, reading, and writing; and possibly co-author a chapter in a book on Designing policy-relevant research.
