About your functions and responsibilities
The Director of Talent Acquisition reports directly to the CEO and CTO, and will lead our strategic recruitment delivery , while playing a key role in our commercial growth .
This is a contractor / freelance position with 100% performance-based compensation , designed for someone with a proven background in international executive search, commercial acumen, and team leadership.
You will guide and mentor our recruiters and talent partners, manage long-term client relationships, and act as a strategic partner to founders and business leaders. You will also help us shape and improve our internal tools and processes to scale with purpose.
You will work remotely and lead talent initiatives across multiple regions, sectors, and functions.
You will be responsible for :
- Managing and expanding client relationships , ensuring alignment with their values, vision, and talent needs.
- Leading end-to-end recruitment delivery , with high-quality standards and fast-paced execution.
- Supporting the development of our team through training, mentorship, and best practice sharing.
- Acting as a strategic advisor to clients and an ambassador of TheHRChapter in industry forums.
- Collaborating with our marketing team on employer branding and visibility strategies.
- Innovating in talent sourcing , applying automation tools, Boolean logic, and AI-based platforms.
- Driving improvements in ATS / CRM systems , defining KPIs, and implementing agile recruitment frameworks.
- Co-creating our commercial growth strategy in collaboration with leadership.
What do you need to be successful?
5+ years of experience in talent acquisition, executive search , or recruitment consultancy in managerial roles.Strong background in international or multicultural environments (startups and scaleups preferred).Ability to build and lead remote teams and deliver recruitment projects across regions.Strong client management and persuasive communication skills.Fluency in English and Spanish is required; Dutch or any other language is a plus.Solid command of CRM / ATS systems (e.g., HubSpot, Greenhouse).Knowledge of advanced sourcing tools and platforms like LinkedIn Recruiter, AmazingHiring, etc.Experience or interest in employer branding and talent marketing .Curious mindset, strategic thinking , and a deep commitment to human-centered recruitment .Comfortable working fully remote , autonomously, and in high-performance environments.What you can expect from us?

Please note : There is no base salary for this role, at least initially. Compensation is performance-based and structured as follows :
Earnings based on the type and quality of clients acquiredCommission for direct placements (approximately 30–40% of the candidates' annual salaries)Commission for placements made through clients you bring in but are managed by others (approximately 5–10% of the candidates' annual salaries)Equity or company bonus based on group performanceDepending on the volume of clients you generate, the compensation model may evolve into a base salary + commission structure.
