Research Assistant Professor in Modular Integrated Construction Smart Materials in the Department of Civil Engineering (Ref.: 536536)
Applications are invited for appointment as Research Assistant Professor in Modular Integrated Construction Smart Materials in the Department of Civil Engineering, to commence on September 1, 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter, on a two-year fixed-term basis.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Structural Materials, Construction Engineering and Management or a related field. Relevant post-doctoral work experience in research on infrastructure technology and/or information technology in construction, primarily focusing on MiC, modular construction, or modular building, but also including digital twin, building information modelling, geographic information system, artificial intelligence, big data analytics, internet-of-things, sensors, blockchain, automation and robotics, smart infrastructure, etc. is required and experience in the area of smart and liveable cities would be desirable.
The appointee will be expected to conduct research projects, teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate level projects. He/she will also be required to take up various administrative duties.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with the appointee's qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
