They are looking for a hybrid cloud Linux infrastructure engineer to support their hardware R&D and manufacturing divisions within the infrastructure environment:
-Linux system administration: installing, configuring, maintaining, and securing Linux-based servers and application deployment
-Local go to Linux & infrastructure expert, troubleshoot complex Linux based system and apps issues
-Own and manage the VMware cluster end-to-end: the hardware, the VMware layer, the VMs (Linux and Windows) and the applications
-Build and manage GCP cloud infrastructure. Manage existing projects and their VMs and configure and interface with GCP services such as Big Query
-Provisioning, installation, configuration, and maintenance of systems and related
infrastructure and routine patching of physical and virtual server environments
-Work with Devops team to develop highly scalable tools and contribute to system automation and configuration management using Ansible, Terraform and Packer
Main technical environment: Redhat Linux 9 (with some Windows server), GCP hybrid cloud infrastructure, VMware (8), SAN, storage, backup, scripting in Bash/Powershell/Python, Ansible, EDA applications
Requirements:
-5+ years of expertise in Redhat Linux system administration or engineering/RHEL
-Experience in managing VMWare environments
-Infrastructure Design: load balancing, auto-scaling, replication, and encryption protocols
-Scripting: proficient in BASH, PowerShell, or Python for infrastructure automation
-Experience in managing and building GCP cloud infrastructure
-Experience in system automation using Ansible or Terraform or similar
-Any experience in MES/manufacturing systems/process engineering system or semi-conductor or bio tech or electronic components manufacturing industry is a plus
-Fluent English (Dutch NOT required)
Initially 12 months full time contract with the option to extend yearly. Ideally 5 days onsite in Eindhoven (minimum 4 days on site). 30% tax ruling for eligible candidates. Our client is open to discussion on the compensation for the right candidates.
