Within PACCAR, the Engine Development department is the center of competence for heavy-duty diesel, hydrogen engines, and aftertreatment systems. Our engines and trucks are best-in-class products in the transportation world, driven by a commitment to providing environmentally friendly, cost-effective, and highly reliable solutions for our customers. The System Function Design team focuses on defining new engines and aftertreatment systems, emphasizing emissions, performance, and OBD requirements. To support our expanding projects and technology development, we seek a well-qualified System Development Support Engineer.
Functieomschrijving
- Serve as the technical expert for heavy-duty diesel, hydrogen engines, and hybrid applications, supporting system owners for Engine Brake, Air Management, and Torque and Speed.
- Define and set up system-level requirements related to emissions and performance.
- Develop FMEA and specify the impact of new content on system requirements.
- Lead root cause analysis and resolution processes for field issues and deliver improvement proposals.
- Create and execute risk mitigation plans, follow up on alternative data to build off risk, and monitor test case status.
- Coordinate and monitor the timing and quality of all deliverables related to the system under development.
Wat verwachten we van jou?
- Master's degree in Automotive Technology or Mechanical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in engine braking and/or air management system development.
- Excellent technical know-how, structured problem-solving skills, and the ability to efficiently and pragmatically address core issues.
- Experience leading a team of technical experts and managing system-level engineering tasks (presenting, planning, technology roadmap, tech lead, stakeholder management).
- Six Sigma experience is preferred (FMEA, DMAIC, fishbone, boundary and P-diagram, fault tree analysis).
- Knowledge of DNG and Plato tools is a plus.
