When you picture yourself three years from now, are you still doing this job, or has this job turned into something bigger because of what you did with it?

As a Purchaser, you'll take responsibility for keeping the right products available at the right cost, working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to strengthen our supply chain. You'll build the kind of supplier relationships, including with key partners like Schaeffler, that go beyond transactions and open up better terms and new commercial opportunities. You'll also help us move toward more structured, scalable ways of working as we grow.

We're looking for someone who can pick up responsibility quickly and hit the ground running. Someone who thrives on ownership rather than needing constant direction. Your background might be in purchasing, sales, or customer service, ideally within an industrial or technical sector; candidates with bearing industry experience are equally welcome. What matters most is your ability to deliver on goals independently and take real ownership of your area.

What You'll Do

• Manage sourcing and replenishment to keep stock levels optimal and costs competitive
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, including key partners, to secure favorable terms and uncover new opportunities
• Negotiate pricing and commercial terms with confidence
• Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify improvements in cost, quality, and supply reliability
• Shape our processes. The department is in transition after growth. You will build smarter, more scalable ways of working
• Represent ABF on business trips and supplier visits (approximately 1–4 times per year)

• This is a hybrid role with three days in the office and two days at home (one day at home for a 32-hour/four-day contract)
• Travel allowance of €0.23 per km (up to €180/month) or full public transport reimbursement

Who You Are

• Minimum 3 years experience in a commercial role, purchasing, sales, or customer service. Ideally in an industrial or technical sector; bearing industry experience is a plus
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills, with a good understanding of pricing
• Able to work independently and take ownership of results
• Comfortable operating in a growing, changing organization
• Fluent in English; Dutch or additional languages are an advantage
