The Role
As Gate Team Leader, you will guide the full lifecycle of a complex inspection gate combining optics, sensors, and software. You will lead a cross‑functional group of hardware and software engineers and act as the technical owner of the integrated solution. You will:
• Provide people leadership, mentoring, and technical direction to a small multidisciplinary team.
• Manage external partners responsible for mechanical design, 3D modelling, and manufacturing.
• Translate business requirements into high‑level technical specifications and architectural plans.
• Oversee product lifecycle management from design to deployment and 24/7 operational performance.
• Define and maintain quality standards, testing practices, and CI/CD processes.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure continuous improvement and product reliability.
Your Skills and Experience
You will bring:
• Strong experience leading small technical teams across hardware and software disciplines.
• Deep understanding of integrated systems involving cameras, sensors, lighting, or computer‑vision solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to manage external engineering and manufacturing vendors.
• A solid engineering foundation, ideally with strong Python experience and hands‑on work integrating hardware with software.
• Knowledge of software testing practices and development lifecycle best practices.
• Familiarity with Linux environments is beneficial.
• Clear and confident communication skills suitable for both engineering teams and technical partners.
