Do you enjoy working accurately and making sure everything is administratively correct before shipments reach their destination? In this role you play an important part in ensuring our international transport flows run smoothly.

Processing and checking international transport shipments administratively so they can be delivered without delays: you’re on it.

How do you do this? As an administration officer inbound within our transport operation, you ensure that incoming shipments are processed correctly and administratively prepared for further distribution. You work with different systems, communicate with colleagues both locally and internationally and monitor the progress of transport movements. You achieve this by:

• processing and checking incoming shipments and transport documentation;
• registering shipments with receivers and processing transport information in our systems;
• identifying irregularities such as damaged goods, incorrectly loaded trailers or missing information;
• maintaining contact with international colleagues, partners and distribution centres regarding shipment status;
• processing return shipments and reporting operational deviations at trip level.

Your team stands out within DSV due to the strong cooperation and focus on quality within the process. Together with around 13 colleagues, you ensure that dozens of trailers are processed administratively every day so shipments can move smoothly through our network.

You bring

• mbo level of working and thinking, and above all the motivation to learn the logistics profession;
• an accurate working style and strong attention to detail so administration is always correct;
• the ability to work with systems and quickly understand and learn new software;
• good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written;
• a positive attitude and the willingness to go the extra mile together with your colleagues.
