About the Role

CloudScaler Technologies is hiring a Lead Systems Engineer for one of its leading engineering clients in the Netherlands.

As a Lead Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering large-scale multidisciplinary engineering projects within the energy, infrastructure, civil construction, and offshore sectors. You will lead the implementation of Systems Engineering methodologies throughout the complete project lifecycle—from tender and concept development through design, execution, verification, commissioning, and project delivery.

You will be responsible for translating stakeholder and contractual requirements into practical engineering solutions while ensuring complete traceability, consistency, and compliance. Working closely with clients, contractors, project managers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams, you will establish structured Systems Engineering processes and contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering standards across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and governance of Systems Engineering across complex engineering projects.
• Define, establish, and continuously improve Systems Engineering processes throughout the complete project lifecycle.
• Capture, analyse, structure, and translate client and stakeholder requirements into system and design requirements.
• Lead Requirements Management, ensuring complete traceability from tender through project delivery.
• Establish and manage Verification & Validation (V&V) strategies, plans, and execution.
• Drive Change Management processes to ensure controlled implementation of engineering changes.
• Lead Interface Management between engineering disciplines, contractors, suppliers, clients, and external stakeholders.
• Perform and coordinate Risk Management activities, identifying technical and project risks and ensuring appropriate mitigation measures.
• Support Contract Management by translating contractual requirements into engineering deliverables and ensuring contractual compliance throughout project execution.
• Ensure engineering information remains structured, accurate, traceable, and usable throughout the project lifecycle.
• Guide and mentor Systems Engineers, Project Engineers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams in applying Systems Engineering principles.
• Contribute to the development of Systems Engineering standards, templates, methodologies, and best practices.
• Collaborate closely with project managers and technical leads to ensure successful project execution.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Master's degree (or equivalent) in Engineering or another technical discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Systems Engineering within complex technical projects.
• Proven experience establishing and implementing Systems Engineering processes across multidisciplinary engineering projects.
• Hands-on experience with Relatics is mandatory.

• Contract Management
• Strong understanding of systems lifecycle management and multidisciplinary engineering environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented approach with the ability to lead technical teams and drive engineering excellence.

Preferred Industry Experience

Candidates should have demonstrable experience working on complex engineering projects within one or more of the following sectors:

• Offshore Engineering
• Energy & Utilities
• Hydropower
• Civil Construction
• Infrastructure
• Industrial Engineering

Experience working on EPC, Design & Build, or turnkey infrastructure and energy projects is highly desirable.
