EUROCITY is a Belgian-based company founded in 1992 to provide Management Consultancy and Technology Services to organizations located in Continental Europe.
Our ATM department (Air Traffic Management) is working with several exciting clients in the field of Air-Traffic Management.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Contribute to the design and development of software applications with a focus on performance, stability, and scalability; develop and implement best practices in coding, testing, and deployment to achieve excellence in software delivery.
• Provide expert-level technical guidance within multidisciplinary project teams and ensure project deliverables adhere to timelines, and the highest quality standards while coordinating efforts.
• Ensure that the deliverables fulfil the business needs and are compliant with safety, security, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and end-users to gather requirements, translate business objectives into technical specifications, and align solutions with organizational goals.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of system performance, identify root causes of complex issues, and address potential technical and operational problems.
• Develop, review, and maintain technical documentation (i.e. standards, processes); document all stages of the software development lifecycle, including design specifications, system configurations, and user guides, to support efficient operation and maintenance.
• Ensure adherence to software development standards, policies, and security practices, and address any compliance discrepancies.
• Stay updated on the latest technological developments/methods/best practices/trends and share them within the internal community to enhance organizational knowledge.
• Carry out any other task in line with the main purpose of the job.
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Minimum bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or Engineering in a related field if the proposed Candidate holds a master’s degree in the same field will be scored additional points in the evaluation;
• Ability to work and communicate in English;
• Minimum 3 years of recent professional experience as Ada or C++ developer;
• Minimum 3 years of recent professional experience as a Software developer working on maintenance and evolution of mission-critical systems with large code base (> 100 KLoC).
• Minimum 3 years of recent professional experience in Linux environment;
• Recent professional experience with Scrum methodology and tools like Jira and BitBucket (desirable);
• Experience in Air-Traffic Management domain (desirable);
• Experience in writing high-quality technical documentation (specifications, design document, test descriptions, user manual, etc);
• Example of experiences demonstrating the following skills: good team worker, positive and open-minded, committed to getting a job done;
• Demonstration of experience working in a multi-cultural team and eagerness to learn new concepts, business domains, technologies, etc.
START DATE: mid-May (but flexible depending on your notice period)
DURATION: 3 years-long project, 1 year-long contract, extendable each year
