Freelance Marketing Data Analyst
Location: Maastricht (minimum 1 day per week on-site)
Contract: 6 months with possible extension
Hours: 24 hours per week

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Freelance Marketing Data Analyst to support a marketing analytics and customer engagement project based in Maastricht.
The role will focus on assessing and optimising the current marketing data environment, followed by supporting customer segmentation and lifecycle initiatives within Customer.io.
Project Scope:
Phase 1 – Marketing Data & Analytics Assessment
- Assess and analyse the current marketing data landscape
- Review tracking, reporting, attribution, and data quality
- Optimise data models and analytics workflows
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations
Phase 2 – Customer.io & Customer Analytics
- Support Customer.io implementation and optimisation
- Build and manage customer segments and automated journeys
- Analyse customer behaviour and campaign performance
Required Experience
- Setup as a freelance (ZZP**) in the Netherlands
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in marketing or digital analytics
- Strong hands-on experience with:
Google Analytics Tech Stack
BigQuery
Looker Studio / BI reporting tools
SQL
Minimum 2 years’ experience with Customer.io
Experience working with customer data, segmentation, and marketing performance analysis
Ability to work independently and make an immediate impact
