Your problem-solving skills and planning insight will come into their own in this dynamic airfreight role. You will make sure every shipment reaches the right destination on time, correctly and efficiently. Making sure the import shipments of our high-tech customers arrive at their destination on time, correctly and efficiently: you’re on it.

How you do this? As a Freight Forwarder Import, you and your colleagues manage the transport process from arrival through to final delivery. You process information in our systems, monitor the planning and make sure customers, carriers and other parties involved always know what to expect. You achieve this by:

• processing incoming orders in our systems;
• mapping out the best route and schedule to ensure each shipment arrives on time and in the right place;
• liaising with customers, carriers and customs regarding documentation and planning;
• ensuring all documentation is accurate and everyone involved has the correct information.

Your team stands out within DSV by its international composition, down-to-earth Brabant mentality and friendly atmosphere. The team works hard and moves quickly, but there is also plenty of room for humour and personal contact. You will never be on your own and will receive plenty of guidance to help you learn the profession.

You bring

• MBO-level working and thinking skills and a good command of the Dutch language;
• a sufficient command of English to communicate in an international environment;
• confidence working with computers and systems, combined with an accurate and customer-focused approach;
• a genuine interest in airfreight and the motivation to learn the profession. Experience is not required, as we provide a thorough onboarding programme and guidance from experienced colleagues;
• the ability to apply for and obtain a VGB security clearance, which is mandatory for this position.
