Solution Architect Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands Work Model: Hybrid Start Date: 28 May 2026 Contract Duration: 6 Months Experience Required: 10+ Years About the Role We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect to lead modernization initiatives focused on transforming legacy systems into scalable, cloud-native platforms. The ideal candidate will play a key role in defining modernization strategies, driving cloud transformation programs, and enabling modern engineering practices across enterprise environments. This role requires deep expertise in cloud migration, microservices architecture, DevOps, automation, and enterprise integration patterns. Key Responsibilities Architecture & Modernization Design and implement modernization strategies for legacy applications and platforms Lead transformation initiatives from monolithic systems to microservices-based architectures Define scalable, secure, and cloud-native solution architectures Support business process re-engineering aligned with technical transformation goals Cloud & Infrastructure Transformation Drive cloud migration and application modernization projects Architect hybrid and multi-cloud solutions using modern infrastructure practices Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using: Terraform Bicep Heat CloudFormation DevOps & Automation Design and implement DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines Enable deployment automation and operational efficiency across environments Support advanced automation initiatives, including AIOps capabilities Collaborate with engineering teams to establish modern development and release practices Integration & Platform Engineering Design API integration and management strategies to enable seamless connectivity between legacy and modern platforms Support containerized application environments using: Kubernetes OpenShift Rancher Guide teams on platform modernization best practices Security & Observability Ensure secure modernization and cloud migration practices Address security challenges associated with legacy-to-cloud transformation Implement observability and monitoring strategies for modernized environments Support performance optimization and operational monitoring initiatives Required Skills & Experience 10+ years of experience in Solution Architecture and enterprise modernization Strong expertise in legacy modernization and cloud transformation initiatives Proven experience with cloud migration and microservices architecture Hands-on experience with DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, and automation Strong experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) technologies Expertise in API integration and enterprise integration patterns Experience with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes and OpenShift Strong understanding of security and governance in cloud environments Dutch language proficiency required Preferred Qualifications Experience with AIOps and intelligent automation technologies Familiarity with low-code/no-code modernization platforms Experience designing enterprise observability and monitoring solutions Strong stakeholder management and technical leadership capabilities Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a strategic and technically strong Solution Architect with extensive experience leading enterprise modernization and cloud transformation initiatives.
