Content Specialist Location: Amsterdam / Heerlen / Remote, Netherlands Work Model: Hybrid Hours per Week: 32–40 Hours Experience Required: 5+ Years Relevant Experience Education Required: HBO Degree Extension Option: Yes Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Content Specialist to create, manage, and optimize communication content within a dynamic and fast-changing environment. In this role, you will develop engaging and informative content across multiple communication channels while translating complex topics into accessible and compelling messaging for various audiences. You will collaborate closely with communication, marketing, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality, data-driven content initiatives. Key Responsibilities Develop, write, edit, and publish content across multiple channels including: Websites Emails Newsletters Event invitations Videos Articles Social media content Create and manage content calendars Translate complex information into clear and engaging communication Coordinate and execute communication and content projects Monitor and optimize content performance using analytics and testing tools Collaborate with internal stakeholders including communication, marketing, legal, and business teams Support and evaluate communication plans and campaigns Manage suppliers and external content-related partners Contribute to tactical improvements and content strategies within Agile teams Required Skills & Experience Completed HBO degree in: Communication Marketing Digital Media Journalism Or a related field Minimum 5 years of experience as: Content Specialist Web Editor Copywriter Or similar communication roles Experience working within large or complex organizations or agencies Strong writing and storytelling skills Experience developing online and digital content Experience with CMS and email marketing systems Knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager and Microsoft Dynamics is a plus Experience working with analytics and data-driven content optimization Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills Ability to work independently and proactively Candidate Profile Creative and audience-focused communicator Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Proactive and collaborative mindset Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously Persuasive and confident in stakeholder discussions Comfortable working in Agile environments Work Environment Hybrid work model with flexibility to work from Amsterdam, Heerlen, or home Collaborative Marketing & Communication environment Hands-on role with strong focus on execution and delivery Additional Information A writing assignment is part of the selection process This role is not suitable for freelancers or self-employed professionals Strong focus on content quality, stakeholder collaboration, and communication effectiveness Candidates should be able to become productive quickly within a fast-paced environment
