Android Developer (Kotlin & Jetpack Compose) Location: Amsterdam Contract Duration: 6 Months Start Date: ASAP Work Model: Complete Onsite Experience Required: 6–8 Years Language Requirement: English We are looking for a highly skilled Android Developer with strong expertise in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose to join our team in Amsterdam. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building scalable, high-performance Android applications and working within Agile environments. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain advanced Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Owners, Designers, QA, and Backend Developers Implement modern Android architectures such as MVVM or MVI Develop modular, maintainable, and scalable mobile application components Integrate RESTful APIs and manage networking layers efficiently Write clean, testable, and reusable code following industry best practices Create and maintain unit tests and UI tests to ensure application quality Work with Firebase services and products for analytics, notifications, and app monitoring Participate in CI/CD pipeline implementation and release management processes Contribute actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining strong collaboration with the team Required Skills & Experience 6–8 years of experience in Android application development Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose Hands-on experience with Android architectural patterns such as MVVM or MVI Solid understanding of networking concepts and application modularization Experience writing unit tests and UI tests Hands-on experience with Koin dependency injection framework Experience working with Firebase products Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment practices Strong communication and interpersonal skills Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments Preferred Qualifications Experience working on enterprise-scale mobile applications Understanding of modern mobile security and performance optimization techniques Familiarity with clean architecture principles and best coding practices Competencies Agile Way of Working Digital: Kotlin Digital: Mobile Computing – Android If you are passionate about building cutting-edge Android applications and want to work in a collaborative onsite environment in Amsterdam, we would love to hear from you.
