Customer Service Associate II

The Opportunity:

Executes day-to-day customer service tasks according to defined procedures and standards. Handles recurring customer inquiries and issues, such as order status updates or product defects, by applying prescribed solutions. Key responsibilities include logging customer interactions into the system for record-keeping and follow-up, escalating unresolved issues to higher-level support, ensuring timely resolution of customer complaints and providing basic product recommendations based on customer needs and ensures compliance with company policies while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. For more complex issues, uses past experience and available resources to resolve the problem effectively. Communicates with customers to provide clear and accurate information, offering explanations when necessary to ensure understanding.

Avantor Fluid Handling is seeking a motivated Customer Service Representative to join our team in Hillegom.

As a Customer Service Representative, you’ll develop within a dynamic industry while strengthening customer relationships and enhancing the service experience. In this role, you will be the key link between Avantor and its Biopharma customers, building and maintaining strong partnerships. You’ll work in a skilled, collaborative team and engage closely with colleagues across purchasing, logistics to ensure smooth support for our customers.

What we’re looking for

• Education: MBO/ Bachelor’s degree in Administration or similar field

• Experience: Several years of applicable experience in a customer service role

• Preferred Qualifications:

• Good organization and time management skills

• Strong communication skills in English, and good level of Dutch is required

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite including MS Excel

• Knowledge of Exact, Epicor or similar ERP system is a plus

• Good business understanding and ability to grasp company processes and routines

• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys multitasking and problem solving

• Motivated to learn, curious, and engaged

• Solid collaboration skills and a positive attitude

• Owns the customer request and experience from initiation to conclusion

• Manage inbound customer communication regarding service status, orders, and issues

• Coordinate and expedite customer orders, ensuring timely resolution of challenges and accurate documentation

• Oversee the order processing, from initial entry through to final shipping, guaranteeing smooth and efficient processing

• Maintain comprehensive records and documentation to uphold operational efficiency, compliance standards, and organizational integrity.
