Datacenter Design | GPU Infrastructure | NVIDIA Reference Architectures | Nebul Cloud
About Nebul
At Nebul, we’re building Europe’s sovereign AI cloud — trusted, secure, and purpose-built for the next generation of intelligent infrastructure.
Our platform is built for high-performance AI workloads, sovereign cloud environments, accelerated compute, and secure infrastructure. As we grow, we are looking for a Datacenter & GPU Infrastructure Engineer who can help design, document, and improve the physical and technical foundation of Nebul’s AI cloud platform.
This role sits at the intersection of datacenter infrastructure, GPU systems, networking, rack design, cabling, power, cooling, and cloud platform engineering. You will help translate high-level architecture into practical datacenter designs, floorplans, rack layouts, connection diagrams, and implementation-ready documentation.
This is not a purely theoretical design role. You will work closely with infrastructure, network, platform, operations, vendors, and datacenter partners to make sure designs can actually be built, connected, operated, and scaled.
What You’ll Do
As a Datacenter & GPU Infrastructure Engineer, you will help design and document the physical foundation of Nebul’s sovereign AI cloud platform.
You will:
• Design and document datacenter layouts, rack elevations, floorplans, cabling diagrams, and infrastructure connection diagrams.
• Create technical documentation for GPU infrastructure, including compute, networking, storage, power, cooling, and connectivity designs.
• Translate NVIDIA reference architectures into practical Nebul datacenter and platform designs.
• Work with NVIDIA-based systems, including DGX, HGX, OVX, RTX, InfiniBand, Ethernet, and GPU-accelerated infrastructure.
• Support the design and deployment of high-performance AI infrastructure for sovereign cloud environments.
• Create clear physical and logical diagrams for rack layouts, network connectivity, storage connectivity, management networks, and out-of-band access.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, platform, security, and operations teams to align datacenter designs with production requirements.
• Work on power, cooling, space, cabling, and connectivity planning for GPU-dense environments.
• Support vendor and datacenter coordination around installation, cabling, cross-connects, hardware placement, and commissioning.
• Help define standards for rack design, cable management, labeling, documentation, and datacenter handover processes.
• Review and improve existing datacenter documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures.
• Support capacity planning for GPU clusters, storage systems, networking, and supporting infrastructure.
• Assist with troubleshooting infrastructure issues related to physical connectivity, rack design, power, cooling, or hardware placement.
• Contribute to infrastructure architecture decisions and help Nebul scale its sovereign AI cloud platform in a reliable and structured way.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who understands both the physical and logical side of modern datacenter infrastructure.
You bring:
• Experience as a Datacenter Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, Network Engineer, Systems Engineer, Solutions Architect, or similar technical role.
• Strong understanding of datacenter infrastructure, including racks, cabling, power, cooling, connectivity, patching, and hardware installation.
• Experience creating technical diagrams, floorplans, rack elevations, cabling diagrams, and connection diagrams.
• Good understanding of GPU infrastructure and high-performance computing environments.
• Experience with NVIDIA reference architectures, GPU servers, accelerated compute, or AI infrastructure.
• Understanding of datacenter networking concepts, including leaf-spine architecture, high-speed Ethernet, InfiniBand, VLANs, routing, and out-of-band management.
• Experience working with enterprise hardware such as GPU servers, storage systems, switches, firewalls, and management appliances.
• Ability to translate architecture into practical implementation documentation.
• Experience with documentation and diagramming tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, Draw.io, Figma, NetBox, DCIM tools, or similar.
• Understanding of power and cooling requirements for high-density GPU infrastructure.
• Strong attention to detail, especially around physical design, connectivity, labeling, and documentation accuracy.
• Ability to work with vendors, datacenter providers, hardware suppliers, and internal engineering teams.
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving infrastructure environment with high ownership and responsibility.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
Bonus Points
It would be a strong advantage if you also have experience with:
• NVIDIA DGX, HGX, OVX, H100, H200, B200, GB200, or similar GPU platforms.
• NVIDIA reference architectures for AI factories, GPU clusters, or high-performance compute environments.
• InfiniBand, RoCE, high-speed Ethernet, or low-latency networking.
• VAST Data, high-performance storage, parallel file systems, or AI-optimized storage architectures.
• OpenStack, Kubernetes, bare-metal infrastructure, or private cloud environments.
• Fortinet, Arista, Mellanox / NVIDIA Networking, Juniper, Cisco, or similar infrastructure vendors.
• DCIM tooling, asset management, rack management, or infrastructure inventory systems.
• Datacenter migrations, new datacenter builds, hardware rollouts, or large-scale infrastructure deployments.
• Sovereign cloud, regulated infrastructure, enterprise cloud, AI infrastructure, or high-security environments.
• Combining physical infrastructure design with logical cloud platform architecture.
