Over Likeminds
Likeminds is a large‑scale multidisciplinary development platform for multi‑voiced theatre makers. Its productions reflect a cosmopolitan world and are characterised by originality, fluidity, diversity, activism, rawness and vulnerability. Likeminds supports young and autodidactic creators at all stages of their development.

Each year the organisation produces about twenty shows in theatres and on location and since late 2021 these are staged in its own theatre in Amsterdam Noord.
Role and Responsibilities
You will serve as an elected board member of the Stichting Likeminds, with one of the positions being the chairperson. The Board of Supervisors monitors the strategy and policy of the management, approves the annual plan, budget and accounts, and applies the Governance Code Culture. It also acts as a sparring partner for management and protects the balance between active involvement and distance.
Board meetings are held roughly five times a year, and each member works for a four‑year term, earning a vacation allowance.
Qualifications
- Proven governance experience or significant experience in a board environment.
- Strong societal engagement and awareness of cultural and social developments.
- Affiliation with one or more of the domains in which Likeminds operates.
- A wide network of relevant contacts.
- Capacity to hold directors and colleagues accountable through questions and ideas.
- Knowledge or vision of the (inter)national performing arts field and its challenges.
- Enthusiasm to represent Likeminds at formal and informal events.
The Board as a whole brings expertise in finance, organisation, law, politics, society and brand strategy, all within the arts and culture sector. xnkfpon
