We're delighted to be partnering with an international organization to recruit a French-speaking Legal Counsel to join their team in Amsterdam.
This is an opportunity to work across a diverse range of commercial, corporate and compliance matters, partnering with colleagues across multiple jurisdictions and supporting the business on day-to-day legal activities.
Working within a collaborative legal team, you'll provide practical, commercially focused advice while helping the organization manage legal risk and maintain strong governance standards.
Key Responsibilities of the Legal Counsel:
- Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements with customers, suppliers and business partners
- Support business teams throughout the contract lifecycle, providing pragmatic legal advice on commercial arrangements
- Advise on corporate law and governance matters across an international group
- Assist with corporate governance activities and the maintenance of statutory records
- Contribute to the development and implementation of compliance policies, procedures and internal guidance
- Partner with stakeholders across commercial, finance and operational teams to provide practical legal support
- Liaise with external legal advisers on jurisdiction-specific matters where required
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments and help ensure ongoing compliance across multiple jurisdictions
Candidate Profile:
- Master's degree in Law
- Approximately 2-4 years' experience as a Legal Counsel or Commercial Lawyer
- Fluent in both English and French
- Experience gained in-house, private practice, or a combination of both
- Strong experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts
- Sound understanding of corporate governance and compliance principles
- Commercially minded with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
