Overview

The Position: Senior Back-end Java Engineer. Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands | Work From home (2-3 days per week in the office). Position: Full-time | 40 hours per week. Salary Range: 90.000,- to 110.000,- annually.

As a Back-end Java Engineer at ThreatFabric, you'll play a pivotal role in developing, managing, testing, and deploying the backend systems essential to our mission. We process high amounts of data and have to innovate and keep up with the latest technologies to protect our customers' digital products from malware and fraud.

Responsibilities

• Building and maintaining scalable Java back-end services.
• Designing microservices and event-driven systems.

Your profile

Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Familiarity and preferably experience in working with a microservices architecture.
• Experience in building and using event-driven architectures.
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL is highly desirable.
• Experience with AWS, Docker, Kafka, and Spring Web.
• Knowledge of caching technologies such as Redis is advantageous.
• Proficient in Java and the Spring Boot framework.
• Strong knowledge of modern build tools like Gradle and Maven.
• Familiarity with open-source development workflows using Git
• Active learning mindset – training and learning by doing.
• Experience working within Agile environments (SCRUM/Kanban).
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
