Executive Housekeeper

What are you going to do in this position?

We are seeking an experienced and inspiring Executive Housekeeper to lead our Housekeeping department and ensure our hotel continues to deliver the highest standards of luxury, cleanliness and comfort. As a member of the Hotel Management Team, you will contribute to the overall operational strategy and success of the hotel.

In this role, you will be responsible for the overall Housekeeping operation, leading the team, managing payroll and external service providers to ensure consistent quality and smooth daily operations. You will report directly to the Director of Operations and play an important role in maintaining our five star service standards.

Responsibilities are:

• Leading, coaching and developing the Housekeeping team, creating a positive and professional working environment.
• Managing payroll costs and operational expenses while balancing quality standards, ensuring labour productivity targets are achieved and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Managing the collaboration with external housekeeping partners, contractors and service providers, ensuring clear communication, alignment with hotel standards and excellent service delivery.
• Maintaining and improving quality standards according to LQA and brand expectations.
• Conducting inspections and following up on quality improvements and guest feedback.
• Managing housekeeping budgets, inventory, supplies, amenities and uniforms.
• Overseeing linen room operations, including linen availability, organisation and inventory control.
• Collaborating closely with other hotel departments to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety, hygiene and sustainability standards.

Requirements are:

• Previous experience as an Executive Housekeeper or in a senior Housekeeping management position within a luxury or five star hotel environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, coach and develop a diverse team.
• Proven experience managing external partners and service providers within a hospitality environment.
• Strong organisational skills with a high attention to detail and quality.
• Experience working with LQA or similar luxury service standards is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, payroll management, budgeting and cost control.
• Fluent in English, Dutch is a plus.
• A proactive, solution-oriented and trustworthy leader who enjoys working in a dynamic luxury hotel environment.
