Due to continued growth, the finance function is evolving rapidly. This role offers a unique opportunity to grow alongside the organization and further develop both your responsibilities and your position within the finance team. You will work closely with and receive guidance from the CFO, providing an excellent environment for professional development.
In addition, this position offers a clear career path. Within a couple of years, there is the opportunity to progress into the role of Finance Director. The current Finance Director is seconded from the parent company on an interim basis, with the intention of transferring the responsibilities to the right candidate over time.
Your responsibilities
The local finance function is critical for ensuring compliance with regulations and tax obligations, enhancing operational efficiency, and providing localized financial insights. You will support the regional Finance Director in managing special projects tied to the growth of this entity.
You will be responsible for both the Dutch operating entity and the Holding entity, playing a key role in strengthening the financial control environment across the organization.
At this stage, the finance department still performs a relatively high volume of transactional accounting activities, including manual journal entries. The organization is in the process of further professionalizing its finance function by transitioning these operational accounting tasks to a shared service center in Poland. You will play an active role in this transformation by helping optimize processes, standardize workflows, and support the successful transfer of activities.
The current role exists of:
- Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate preparation of financial statements and management reports; generate dashboards to track performance indicators (KPIs)
- Consolidation & Annual Accounts: Manage the consolidation process for seven international entities and coordinate the preparation of the annual statutory accounts
- Accounting Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliation of accounts (accruals, inventory, intercompany, GL) and resolve discrepancies
- Compliance & Internal Controls: Ensure adherence to internal policies and accounting standards (IFRS/Local GAAP); manage statutory reporting and tax filing
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the development of financial forecasts and analyze variances to provide actionable insights
- Data Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities; assist in developing financial models to support business decisions
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor daily cash flow and provide recommendations for optimizing liquidity
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments, the shared service center in Poland, and external partners such as banks, auditors and tax advisors
- Process Improvement & Finance Transformation: Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support the transition of transactional finance activities to the shared service center in Poland.
Your offer
- A good salary of €75,000 - €100,000 annually, depending on your education and previous work experience
- Year-end allowance of 2,38%
- A travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometer
