We are looking for a Reliability Engineer (or Reliability Lead depending on experience) to strengthen reliability and mechanical integrity at our Rozenburg site.

This is a key technical role in a lean site organisation, where you will combine strong local ownership with active use of global INVISTA capability. You will act as the interface between site operations and global reliability and mechanical integrity expertise, ensuring that asset risks are understood, managed, and translated into practical field execution.
Your focus will be on setting up effective risk management systems, improving asset health strategy, and ensuring mechanical integrity and regulatory inspections are under control.
You will apply Principle-Based Management and Koch Risk Philosophy to make sound, risk-based decisions that balance reliability, cost, and production impact.
Key responsibilities:
Reliability & Asset Health Strategy
- Develop and maintain the site reliability and asset health strategy aligned with business needs
- Translate recurring issues into structured improvements and defect elimination
- Use data, inspection findings, and field insight to improve decision quality
- Balance reliability, risk, and cost using sound economic thinking
- Set up and improve practical risk management systems for reliability and mechanical integrity
- Ensure risk controls are clearly owned, effective, and sustained over time
- Convert risk analysis into actionable, executable work in the field
- Capture and structure technical knowledge (failures, inspections, decisions)
Mechanical Integrity Ownership
- Act as site owner for Mechanical Integrity programmes (fixed, rotating, E&I)
- Develop and maintain a practical MI system with clear metrics and documentation. Align MI programmes with corporate standards and site risk profile
- Challenge inspection and turnaround scope using risk-based thinking
Regulatory Inspections & Compliance
- Ensure inspections are completed on time and according to standards
- Maintain visibility on overdue inspections and mitigation plans
- Work with operations, maintenance, and external parties to keep inspection work executable
- Reduce inspection burden through risk-based and practical alternatives where appropriate
Global Capability Interface
- Leverage INVISTA global expertise as a force multiplier
- Connect site needs to available specialist knowledge and best practices
- Translate corporate standards into practical site execution
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in: Mechanical Engineering. Other technical disciplines will be considered: Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering or similar technical discipline.
- 3–5 years of experience in:
- Reliability / Maintenance / Asset Management
- Mechanical Integrity / Inspection
- Process or manufacturing environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
- Ability to translate technical risk into clear priorities and business decisions
- Comfortable working in a lean organisation with broad responsibilities
- Willingness to learn from field work, data, and global subject matter experts
- Work in a high-impact technical role with sitewide influence
- Combine local ownership with global capability and expertise
- Apply Koch Risk Philosophy and Principle-Based Management in real decisions
- Contribute directly to site competitiveness, reliability, and safety performance
