Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SaaS Platform Engineer / SaaS Service Owner to manage and govern enterprise SaaS platforms within a highly regulated banking environment.

The role focuses on SaaS lifecycle management, governance, resilience, security, compliance, vendor management, licensing, and operational excellence. The successful candidate will act as the technical and service owner for enterprise SaaS solutions, ensuring platforms are secure, reliable, compliant, and aligned with business and regulatory requirements.

This position requires strong experience in SaaS operations, cloud platforms, Identity & Access Management (IAM), ITSM processes, automation, security governance, and supplier management.

Key Responsibilities

SaaS Service Ownership & Lifecycle Management

• Own and manage the complete lifecycle of enterprise SaaS applications:
  • SaaS onboarding
  • Implementation
  • Configuration
  • Operational support
  • Upgrades and releases
  • Renewal
  • Retirement
• Ensure SaaS platforms meet enterprise standards for:
  • Security
  • Availability
  • Performance

  • Cost efficiency
• Define and maintain SaaS operational processes and governance frameworks.
• Drive continuous improvement of SaaS services.

SaaS Governance & Compliance

• Ensure SaaS solutions comply with:
  • Security policies
  • Data privacy requirements
  • GDPR regulations
  • Risk management frameworks
  • Financial sector compliance requirements
• Support security assessments, audits, and regulatory reviews.
• Perform risk assessments and coordinate remediation activities.
• Ensure SaaS platforms follow enterprise governance and architecture standards.

Identity & Access Management (IAM)

• Manage and support SaaS identity integrations, including:
  • Single Sign-On (SSO)
  • SAML
  • OAuth2
  • SCIM
• Collaborate with IAM and security teams to ensure secure access management.
• Support user lifecycle management and access governance processes.
• Ensure authentication and authorization standards are maintained.

Vendor & Supplier Management

• Act as the primary technical contact for SaaS vendors.
• Manage vendor relationships and service performance.
• Coordinate with suppliers on:
  • Product updates
  • Roadmaps
  • Incidents
  • Service improvements
  • Contract requirements
• Support vendor risk management activities.

Technical Operations & Platform Management

• Manage SaaS platform administration and operational activities.
• Support enterprise integrations through APIs and automation.
• Monitor platform availability, performance, and operational health.
• Implement monitoring and observability practices.
• Support resilience, recoverability, and business continuity requirements.
• Manage lifecycle and release activities.

IT Service Management

• Work within ITSM processes including:
  • Incident Management
  • Problem Management
  • Change Management
  • Service Management
• Use ServiceNow and enterprise workflow tooling for operational processes.
• Perform root cause analysis and drive service improvements.
• Maintain operational documentation and knowledge articles.

Automation & Reporting

• Develop automation solutions using:

  • Similar scripting technologies
• Automate operational and governance activities.
• Develop dashboards and reports for:
  • Service performance
  • License consumption
  • Risk tracking

License & Cost Management

• Manage SaaS license consumption and optimization.

• Improve transparency of SaaS costs.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization and FinOps improvements.

Required Experience

• 5+ years of experience in:
  • SaaS platform engineering
  • SaaS operations
  • Cloud platforms
  • Enterprise application management
• Proven experience managing enterprise SaaS solutions in regulated environments.
