The position
As an Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer at agap2, you take on the challenge within an international environment with a local focus. Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of electrical power distribution and process instrumentation systems. This role ensures the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of industrial facilities while maintaining compliance with engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. The E&I Engineer plays a key role in supporting capital projects, commissioning activities, preventive maintenance programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Design and develop electrical power distribution, control, and instrumentation systems for industrial facilities.
- Prepare and review single-line diagrams, electrical schematics, cable schedules, load calculations, and technical documentation.
- Specify, evaluate, and select electrical equipment including motors, Motor Control Centers (MCCs), transformers, UPS systems, generators, and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
- Develop instrument datasheets, loop diagrams, I/O lists, wiring diagrams, and control philosophies.
- Support installation, testing, commissioning, start-up, and troubleshooting of electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Conduct power system studies, load assessments, and electrical network analysis.
- Ensure compliance with applicable electrical safety regulations, engineering standards, and company procedures.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, contractors, vendors, and operations personnel throughout project execution.
- Drive equipment reliability through preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
- Support plant expansion, modernization, and capital improvement projects.
- Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), commissioning, handover, and operational support.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, energy efficiency, and continuous improvement.
What you bring to the position
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Automation, Instrumentation, Control Systems, or related Engineering discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in industrial electrical and instrumentation engineering.
- Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, instrumentation, PLC/SCADA/DCS systems, and commissioning activities.
- Experience delivering projects through the full lifecycle: design, build, FAT, SAT, commissioning, and handover.
- Proficiency with electrical design tools such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, ETAP, EasyPower, or SKM.
- Knowledge of LV/MV distribution, MCCs, VFDs, process instrumentation, and industrial communication protocols.
- Familiarity with IEC, ATEX, GMP, and electrical safety standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on reliability, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
