As Senior Manager, Content Systems & AI Production Workflows, you will be accountable for the strategy, operating model, governance, and measurable impact of generative AI across our content production ecosystem, including eCommerce, retail, social, CRM, and partner channels. You will translate business and production priorities into scalable AI-enabled workflows, define prompting standards and evaluation frameworks, and drive the adoption of production systems that enable high-quality content creation at enterprise scale.

This role sits at the intersection of AI technology, content production, and business operations. You will partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders across creative, digital commerce, content operations, production, engineering, and platform teams to develop repeatable, efficient, and compliant GenAI workflows that support both creative excellence and high-volume content creation.

Success in this role will be measured not only by creative quality, but by your ability to design scalable AI-powered production systems that increase throughput, improve consistency, reduce production effort, and enable the delivery of content at global scale.

The Role

This is a leadership role for someone who combines deep expertise in generative AI technologies with a strong understanding of content production and creative quality. You are equally comfortable designing prompt architectures, evaluating AI models, building production workflows, and reviewing final outputs against brand standards.

You will act as the organization's senior point of contact for AI creative production, helping define how AI is applied across content creation while ensuring solutions are scalable, operationally efficient, and fit for enterprise deployment.

A significant focus of the role will be enabling new ways of producing content at high volume, leveraging GenAI technologies to support large-scale product content creation while maintaining quality, consistency, speed-to-market, and delivery against strict timelines and service-level expectations.

You will champion AI production across the wider digital content organization, helping teams understand not only what AI can create, but how AI-powered workflows can transform the way content is produced.

What You'll Do

AI Strategy, Workflow Design & Innovation

• Serve as the organization's subject matter expert on AI-enabled content production, prompt engineering, workflow automation, and emerging generative technologies.
• Define and evolve the AI production roadmap, ensuring alignment with business priorities, content production requirements, and operational goals.
• Design scalable prompting frameworks, reusable prompt libraries, and workflow templates that enable consistent, repeatable, and high-quality outputs across multiple use cases.
• Build and optimize AI-powered production workflows that combine generative models, automation, human review, and operational controls.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend the right tools, models, and orchestration approaches to improve quality, speed, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
• Define standards and evaluation methodologies for measuring AI output quality, consistency, performance, and business impact.

Content Production at Scale

• Drive the adoption of GenAI-powered production workflows for high-volume content creation across digital channels.
• Identify opportunities to automate, accelerate, and scale content production while maintaining brand quality and operational excellence.
• Develop approaches that support large-scale product content generation, helping teams efficiently create and manage content across tens of thousands of assets annually.
• Ensure workflows are designed to meet delivery commitments, production timelines, and service-level expectations.
• Continuously optimize throughput, resource utilization, and production efficiency across AI-enabled content pipelines.

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Partner with stakeholders across creative, content production, digital commerce, operations, platform, product, and engineering teams to integrate AI capabilities into existing production ecosystems.
• Translate technical capabilities into clear business and creative recommendations for stakeholders at all levels.
• Act as the senior escalation point for AI production topics, providing guidance on workflows, tooling, quality standards, and execution.
• Manage relationships with external partners, vendors, and technology providers supporting AI production initiatives.

Team Leadership & Capability Building

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of AI production specialists.
• Establish ways of working, standards, documentation, and governance frameworks that enable consistent adoption of AI across teams.
• Build organizational capability through training, knowledge sharing, and best-practice development.
• Foster a culture of experimentation, learning, and continuous improvement while maintaining clear quality expectations.

Governance, Compliance & Risk Management

• Help ensure all AI-generated outputs meet brand standards, legal requirements, and ethical guidelines.
• Establish governance practices covering prompting standards, content provenance, model usage, documentation, and quality assurance.
• Support compliance with evolving industry frameworks and regulatory requirements, including synthetic content disclosures, content provenance standards (e.g. C2PA, SynthID), intellectual property considerations, and EU AI Act obligations.
• Partner with Legal, Compliance, and business stakeholders to maintain current and effective governance practices.

Who You Are

There is no single path into this role. What matters most is your ability to combine technical depth, operational thinking, creative judgment, and leadership.

You bring:

• 7+ years of experience spanning digital agencies, technology organizations, content production environments, in-house brand teams, or related fields.
• Deep expertise in generative AI systems, content production workflows, and ideally, enterprise-scale AI implementation.
• Strong experience designing prompting methodologies, prompt libraries, template-based generation systems, and evaluation frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with image generation platforms such as GPT Image, Nano Banana, Flux, Midjourney, Luma, or equivalent technologies.
• Experience with video generation and synthesis platforms such as Runway, Kling, Veo, Ray, Seedance, or equivalent solutions.
• Knowledge of LoRA training and fine-tuning approaches, character consistency workflows, and production-ready model optimization techniques.
• Experience using ComfyUI or similar node-based orchestration platforms to build scalable generation pipelines.
• Understanding of APIs, automation frameworks, and workflow integration approaches for deploying AI capabilities into production environments.
• Comfortable using AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or similar tools as part of a modern workflow.
• Experience designing and operating large-scale content production workflows where volume, efficiency, consistency, and delivery timelines are critical success factors.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate technologies, measure impact, and optimize processes.
• A strong creative and visual sensibility, with the ability to assess output quality and maintain brand standards.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into accessible business and creative language.
• Experience managing multiple stakeholders, priorities, and initiatives within fast-moving, matrixed organizations.
• Proven leadership experience, including team development, coaching, resource planning, and stakeholder management.
• Comfort working in rapidly evolving environments with a high degree of ambiguity and change.
