PCN is a boutique recruitment agency based in Amsterdam, specialising in Fintech & Payments. Founded in 2008, we've spent 18 years building a network of 150,000+ professionals across the sector, working with companies like Klarna, Wise, Mollie, Qonto and Airwallex across EMEA and the US.

The Role

We're looking for a Recruitment Consultant Intern to work closely with Christopher, our Business Development Lead, getting stuck into business development from day one while learning the full 360 recruitment process within our Fintech & Payments team.

• Start date: October 1st, 2026
• Contract: 6 months, paid, with a genuine path to a permanent Recruitment Consultant role
• Location: Amsterdam (Singel canal office)

Day-to-Day

• Be on the phone and start reaching out to prospective clients from day one, guided by Christopher on what works and why
• Prospect and qualify new client opportunities, learning how to spot where the real hiring challenge is
• Source and pre-screen candidates across the Fintech & Payments market, building your own pipeline as you go
• Sit in on client meetings, seeing first-hand how briefs turn into a search
• Take part in outreach and networking, including calls and industry events
• Receive genuine desk coaching and training, day-to-day, not just in an onboarding week
• Contribute to closing deals, big and small, as your confidence builds - from first client conversation through to placement

What You'll Walk Away With

Six months here isn't just a line on your CV. By the end of it, you'll:

• Understand how to build a business from a phone and a laptop - prospecting, pitching, and winning client trust from scratch
• Know the Fintech & Payments market properly: who's hiring, who's moving, and why
• Have real commercial experience - pipeline management, negotiation, and closing - that most graduates don't get access to for years
• Have built your own network of candidates and clients that's genuinely yours to keep building on
• Know, one way or another, whether a career in recruitment or business development is right for you - and if it is, a clear route to keep growing it here

What We're Looking For

• Currently pursuing a degree in the Netherlands
• Fluent English
• Eligible for an internship, with the right to work in the EU/Netherlands afterwards without sponsorship
• Based in or close to Amsterdam
• A genuine interest in people - what drives them, what they're looking for, what's not being said
• An open mindset toward continuous learning and honest feedback
• Comfortable with the ups and downs that come with any people-facing, target-driven role

What We Offer

• €610/month base, plus commission from day one
• A genuine path to a full-time Recruitment Consultant role after 6 months
