Company Description HealthyBestari is a health and wellness practice that focuses on personal training with the core being corrective conditioning with an integrated approach on helping people, sleep, eat and breath better. The platform emphasizes individualized approaches to pain management, considering biomechanical, physiological, and biochemical factors to improve quality of life. Initial content focuses on lower back pain, both chronic and acute, with guidance on prevention, symptom management, and restoring daily activities. HealthyBestari promotes evidence-informed exercise, nutrition, and lifestyle strategies to help individuals move with confidence and reduce discomfort. The services are provided mainly at the Art of Physio location as the company works in conjunction with a physiotherapy clinic located in the south of Amsterdam. The services are also provided accross the city at different gym locations.
Role Description The Health Coach and Movement Specialist will work part time on-site in Amsterdam, supporting clients in developing personalized plans to manage pain, improve movement, and enhance overall health. Day-to-day tasks include conducting client assessments, designing tailored exercise and movement programs, and offering practical guidance on posture, mobility, and daily activity modifications. The role involves providing coaching on nutrition and lifestyle habits, tracking client progress, and adjusting plans based on outcomes and feedback. The specialist will also contribute to educational materials and workshops, helping promote awareness of individualized pain management and holistic wellness within the HealthyBestari and Art of Physio community.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in Health & Wellness and Wellness Coaching, with the ability to create individualized, sustainable plans for diverse clients.
- Knowledge of Nutrition and Weight Management to support balanced lifestyle changes and pain-related health goals.
- Experience in Coaching, including motivational interviewing or similar approaches, to guide clients through behavior change and adherence.
- Background in exercise science, physical therapy, personal training, or movement-related disciplines, with strong understanding of biomechanics and lower back pain management.
- Relevant certification or degree in health, fitness, or wellness fields; experience working with clients in on-site settings is an advantage.
- Clear communication skills, an empathetic and non-judgmental approach, and the ability to collaborate with clients from varied backgrounds.
- Basic proficiency in documenting sessions, tracking outcomes, and using digital tools to support education and client engagement.
- English Proficiency is required.
- Dutch proficiency is preferred but not required although any additional language is beneficial
