Before any garment reaches our stores, it goes through an extensive process at our headquarters in Hem, the Netherlands. Clothing is sourced globally by our entity Gaia, where the initial selection takes place. The garments are then transferred to Hemera, where they are carefully assessed and sorted by our team to determine which items are suitable for sale in our stores. Next, each item is washed, repaired when necessary, and fitted with both a price tag and a security tag. Only then is it ready to be distributed to our stores and given a second life.
As a Regional Manager, you are the driving force behind a region consisting of five to six stores across the Netherlands. You combine strong commercial acumen with inspiring leadership, ensuring that your stores not only deliver excellent results but also continue to grow in terms of revenue, team development, and customer experience. You report to the Retail Manager, work closely with two fellow Regional Managers, and maintain regular contact with various departments across the organization, including Headquarters, HR, Store Operations, and Hemera's Product Team. Together, you ensure our stores perform at their best while bringing our sustainable mission to life every day.
What will you do?
You understand better than anyone that revenue does not grow by itself. You translate targets into concrete, weekly commercial actions for each store, from creating strong window displays to implementing focused upselling initiatives, and actively monitor their impact. You identify trends and opportunities early, think across the entire process from the shop floor to the assortment, and act like an entrepreneur: diagnosing issues, making adjustments, taking action, and measuring results. You always give meaning to the numbers by translating them into clear recommendations that store teams can immediately put into practice.
Use Visual merchandising as a commercial tool
For you, visual merchandising is not a checklist; it is a sales-driving tool. You have a keen eye for presentation, know Episode’s visual merchandising guidelines inside out, and understand how to apply them effectively in different store environments. During store visits, you actively coach teams, provide constructive feedback on window displays and key in-store areas, and adapt your approach to the local customer base. After all, what works in Amsterdam may not necessarily work in The Hague.
Deliver meaningful people leadership
You build strong teams by investing in your Store Managers and Assistant Managers. Through regular one-to-one conversations, you discuss not only day-to-day operations but also personal development, motivation, and what individuals need to perform at their best. You stay attuned to what is happening within your teams and take timely action when needed. You ensure that every store has a strong management foundation and proactively plan for staffing, development, and succession.
Work in a data-driven way
You are comfortable working with numbers and know how to turn data into action. You create reports and plans that go beyond a snapshot in time, supported by clear analysis, follow-up actions, and room for adjustment when necessary. You also share your knowledge of inventory management with your teams, teaching them how to evaluate stock levels, identify trends, and communicate their findings effectively.
Connect and collaborate
You are a true connector. You do not see yourself as the Regional Manager of only your own region, but as part of a broader retail management team. You actively collaborate with fellow Regional Managers, share insights, and initiate projects that benefit multiple regions. You maintain a visible presence throughout the business, represent your region within the wider organization, and ensure your teams feel supported and connected to the Head Office.
