About this role:

This position owns JET's long-term marketing strategy and insight agenda. It defines what marketing stands for, does and does not do, how it is structured and how marketing health is measured., though it interfaces with all of these streams. The role also leads and participates in large organisational projects as a key Marketing interface, drives a number of these projects, and drives marketing operational excellence — including Marketing transformations, Marketing OS, efficiency improvements, reporting frameworks and automation

These are some of the key components to the position:

• Defines global brand positioning, portfolio architecture, target audience frameworks and brand segmentation principles for use across all markets
• Owns the annual insight agenda, including brand tracking, research priorities and strategic learning plans, and decides which strategic questions require central investigation
• Sets the standards for brand architecture, naming logic and core strategic messaging territories; approves changes that alter the strategic shape of the brand
• Translates customer, market and competitor signals into strategic recommendations for the Brand & Corp Comms leadership team and COO
• Provides the strategic guardrails that Campaigns, Creative, Media and market teams must work within, without directing their day-to-day execution choices
• Reviews brand performance monthly and refreshes strategic priorities when evidence shows that positioning, audience focus or architecture should change
• Leads the Marketing operating system (Marketing OS), driving efficiency, reporting standardisation and automation across the marketing function
• Acts as the senior Marketing interface for large cross-functional and organisational projects, ensuring marketing priorities and implications are represented throughout

What will you bring to the team?

• Significant experience in brand strategy, insights or portfolio planning in a multi-market consumer business
• Advanced understanding of brand positioning, segmentation, brand architecture and research methodologies
• Ability to convert complex evidence into clear strategic choices for senior stakeholders
• Strong experience managing research partners and synthesising qualitative and quantitative inputs
• Sound commercial judgement and confidence challenging proposals that are not supported by evidence
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Shapes the strategic foundations used across HQ and local markets, influencing how JET positions itself and where brand investment should focus over the medium to long term. The role affects enterprise-wide brand choices and the quality of major strategic decisions, without owning local campaign execution or media budgets.
