Cluster Executive Chef - Carstens & ARCA

We're looking for a visionary chef to lead a diverse and high-performing culinary operation across two prominent hotels. This role oversees a wide portfolio of F&B outlets including breakfast operations, Meetings & Events catering, Cafe, in-room dining, and several additional venues across Park Plaza Victoria Amsterdam and art'otel Amsterdam. As a Cluster Executive Chef you will commit to building an inclusive team, guiding sustainability, and blending innovation with operational excellence.


What You'll do


  • Develop, implement, and continuously refine menu concepts and culinary direction for the Carstens and ARCA restaurants.
  • Lead R&D, menu tastings, seasonal rollout, and special culinary events.
  • Ensure concepts remain commercially viable, competitive, and aligned with brand positioning.
  • Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations across both outlets, ensuring consistency, quality, and compliance with health-and-safety standards.
  • Establish and maintain SOPs, recipes, plating guides, and quality benchmarks.
  • Drive efficiency through cost control of food, labor, and kitchen resources.
  • Lead, inspire, and mentor kitchen teams.
  • Coach team members through performance reviews and career development plans.
  • Manage culinary budgeting, including food and labor costs.
  • Monitor revenue performance and adjust menus and pricing accordingly.


Are you the perfect match?


  • 5 to 7 years’ experience as a Cluster Executive Chef in restaurants or hotels.
  • Experience managing multiple outlets or complex culinary operations.
  • Strong understanding of European culinary trends; experience with Dutch, Portuguese, or Asian cuisines is a plus.
  • Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.
  • Experience managing key stakeholders—from suppliers and F&B leadership to cross-department teams—ensuring smooth communication and operational alignment.
  • Solid expertise in overseeing kitchen budgets, forecasting, and food-cost management, consistently achieving financial targets. xnkfpon
