You are the go-to expert in the field of Security, and in this role, you provide technical and commercial support to our Account Managers and the Business Development Manager; therefore, you do not manage your own account portfolio.
You’ll be called upon to delve into security issues with (new and existing) clients. Together, you’ll explore the client portfolio and launch new initiatives to successfully position Avit security portfolio in the market.

Your role as a specialist

As a Senior Sales Security Specialist, you understand better than anyone else what’s happening in the market and with customers regarding security. You’re familiar with the challenges and issues companies face and know which products and services offer solutions to these problems.
With your in-depth knowledge and experience, you know how to earn the trust of executive leadership, IT management, and key stakeholders.

What will you do?

• Together with Account Managers and the Business Development Manager, you’ll engage with (potential) clients to capitalize on security opportunities.
  
• Translate the client’s needs into concrete solutions and guide the client through gradual steps toward their desired outcome.
  
• Conduct discussions and build relationships at the strategic, tactical, and operational levels (from C-level to IT management).
  
• Work closely with Marketing, Product Management, Pre-Sales, and our strategic partner Cisco to develop and promote successful propositions.
  
• Actively contribute insights based on your market and client experience to continuously refine our integrated approach, sales initiatives, and propositions.
  
• You’ll serve as the (commercial) security expert both internally and externally for our clients.
  
• Together with the responsible Account Manager or BDM, you’ll meet with clients to guide and close security deals.

What do you bring?

• 
  
• Bachelor’s degree level of education and thinking, with a proven track record of at least 5 years in IT sales and consultative selling of security portfolios (NOC/SOC, XDR, Secure Networking).
  
• At least 5 years of experience selling long-term and complex security projects (6-12 months).
  
• In-depth knowledge of security products, solutions, and propositions from a vendor or partner.
  
• You are a skilled communicator at every level and can explain complex technical concepts in simple terms.
  
• You thrive in a self-directed role where your experience and knowledge strengthen Avit .
  
• Experience with Salesforce is a plus.
  
• Experience with the Cisco Security portfolio is not required but is a major plus.
