Introductie

We are seeking a skilled Automotive (Engine) Design and Calibration Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and calibration of engine systems to ensure optimal performance, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative engine solutions that meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

Functieomschrijving

  • Design and develop engine components and systems, including intake, exhaust, fuel, and ignition systems.
  • Perform engine calibration to optimize performance, fuel efficiency, and emissions.
  • Conduct simulations and analyses to evaluate engine performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, electrical, and software engineers, to integrate engine systems into vehicle platforms.
  • Develop and execute test plans to validate engine designs and calibrations.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including emissions and safety requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to engine performance and calibration.
  • Prepare technical documentation and reports to support design and calibration activities.

Wat verwachten we van jou?

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in engine design and calibration, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Proficiency in engine simulation and analysis tools (e.g., GT-Power, AVL Cruise).
  • Strong knowledge of engine control systems and calibration tools (e.g., INCA, ATI Vision).
  • Experience with engine testing and diagnostics, including dynamometer testing.
  • Familiarity with emissions regulations and testing procedures (e.g., EPA, CARB).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
