We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our manufacturing team. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards throughout the production process. This role involves developing and implementing quality control procedures, conducting inspections and tests, analysing data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for delivering superior products.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement quality control plans and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections and tests during the manufacturing process to identify any deviations or defects.
- Analyse product and process data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain, to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform root cause analysis and develop effective solutions to prevent quality problems from recurring.
- Participate in design and process reviews to provide input on manufacturability and quality requirements.
- Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Monitor and report on key quality performance indicators, such as defect rates, scrap rates, and customer complaints.
- Develop and deliver training programs to enhance quality awareness and build a culture of quality excellence.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in quality assurance.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.Proven experience as a Quality Engineer or a similar role in the manufacturing industry.Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies, including statistical process control (SPC), Six Sigma, and lean manufacturing principles.Proficiency in quality assurance tools and techniques, such as root cause analysis, failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and control plans.Experience with conducting inspections and tests using various measurement equipment and tools.Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Quality certifications, such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Six Sigma Green Belt (CSSGB), are desirable.
