Construction Manager - Data Centre - North Brabant We are currently partnering with a leading multinational design and engineering consultancy, and they are looking for an experienced Construction Manager to join their team. Our client works across a variety of sectors including industrial, consumer goods, data centres and energy to name a few.
Their team is composed of experts in diverse fields such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, construction, civil engineering, structure, building, architecture, fire safety, control engineering, and security technology.
Responsibilities: - Manage large-scale construction projects in a multi-stakeholder environment, supporting clients in making the right decisions;
- Lead the construction management team, coordinate various contractors and oversee project objectives related to safety, cost, schedule and quality;
- Ensure daily supervision of the construction schedule, monitor progress and take necessary actions in case of disruptions;
- Lead technical meetings, review change orders and negotiate technical and financial aspects on behalf of the client;
- Liaise with clients, authorities, contractors and consultants, provide technical advice and ensure compliance with safety procedures and permits.
Requirements:
- Project management certifications are desirable (e.g. IPMA, Prince)
- Proven track record of managing medium and large industrial construction projects
- An international mindset and willingness to travel for assignments
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to adapt effortlessly in an international and culturally diverse environment
- The ability to act as a coach and mentor to other employees
- Build and maintain trusted advisor status with clients at board level
- Entrepreneur with strong business acumen
- Solid understanding of corporate finance with a clear market drive, focus on clients and the client network
- Recognise profitability and revenue potential in business opportunities
- Keep abreast of international standards and developments in the areas of safety, health and sustainability and actively promote these in your projects
- A relevant technical background (MEP, CSA, etc.)
- Approx. 10 years of experience in managing multidisciplinary construction projects
- Knowledge of the various contract forms
