Metrohm Autolab seeks a new Area Product Manager to be responsible for activities related to the Product Marketing Management of the existing and future product portfolios, and also to provide Technical Sales Support to the Sales Organizations.

Description

The Area Product Manager (APM) contributes actively to managing the product portfolio by preparing market and product analysis, identifying and consolidating customer requirements into market requirement documents (MRDs), and supporting the Marketing, R&D, Production, and Applications teams. The APM is actively involved in the creation and execution of different marketing activities (e.g. marketing campaigns, new communication materials, webinars etc.) as well as technical documentation (e.g. user manuals, technical and application notes etc.).

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Area Product Manager include, but are not limited to :

• Product Marketing Management :
• Perform market intelligence and product-positioning analysis
• Define market requirements (e.g. prepare MRDs) and prepare business plans for new products.
• Act as a gatekeeper and Product Owner between the End user and R&D engineers
• “Translate” the user and market requirements into R&D tasks
• Prioritize the implementation of new features based on their business value
• Ensure that the R&D project outcomes comply with market and business requirements (e.g. hands-on testing of newly implemented features)
• Provide content for marketing communication, in close collaboration with the Marketing Communication Manager (e.g. brochures, social media posts, presentations)
• Create and maintain technical documentation
• Attend conferences, special events and exhibitions, organize and execute application and product trainings both in-person and online
• Technical Sales Support :
• Help and coordinate with EC Sales Managers in the Sales Organizations
• Provide technical support for the existing product portfolio (e.g. help Sales Organization to troubleshoot technical problems in the field)
• Product and Application trainings of EC Sales Managers in Sales Organizations
• QC testing in Lab for existing and new products or software features (occasional)
