Job Description

As a laboratory researcher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the development of cutting-edge plastic recycling, electrochemical and biomass valorization programs allowing our clients to take the next step from lab to pilot scale. You’ll be involved in multiple projects. In close cooperation with scientists and project managers you will perform experiments and tests in the lab Rijswijk, from bench to pilot scale. You will be responsible for performing the actual experiments, pre-process the results and report and discuss the results with the scientists involved. Safety, quality and accuracy are top priorities and you’ll safeguard those during all experiments. You will also support the scientist in defining the experimental setup and the test plan for the experiments that need to be performed. In some cases a dedicated setup needs to be developed and build – you will contribute to the design and construction, making sure all items are in place so that the envisioned results can be achieved.

solutions for the industry. You are a motivated trouble-hooter and comfortable

in maintaining, repairing and upgrading laboratory set-ups. You like to work in projects that are

challenging and can have strict deadlines.

You are comfortable with working in different projects at the same time and flexible with traveling Within the Netherlands to execute experiments on site.

So…. Who are we looking for?

We look for someone interested to contribute in a firm that does things a little different. For this position, we would like to get in touch with technical professionals who recognize themselves in this description :

• Bachelor’s / HBO degree in chemistry or process technology.
• Your resume shows that you have worked in a research laboratory for a couple of years (or more) after the completion of your studies.
• You like the recycling of plastics, biobased chemistries and / or electrochemistry.
• You have a practical hands-on attitude and like to work in a laboratory.
• High safety awareness
• Socially engaged and well-developed communicative skills. What we mean by that : you align the info that you wish to share, and you are a good listener.
• Languages : English. Command of Dutch is preferred
