This role requires daily management of vessel allocations, monitoring competitive pricing, and providing targeted support to local sales teams. You will be key to driving trade growth, optimizing operational efficiency, and maintaining healthy cargo mixes, ensuring the company's goals align with overall trade objectives. Key Responsibilities
Trade and Sales Optimization :
- Vessel Allocation and Optimization : Conduct daily analysis and manage vessel allocations, ensuring optimal use of reefer plugs and adjusting allocations with Cargo Flow and regional sales teams as needed.
- Account-Specific Management : Develop and track vessel profiles per service, identifying and addressing gaps in shipper engagements and steering sales activities to meet volume targets.
- Market-Aligned Pricing : Maintain competitive pricing strategies using tools like iPrice, generating insights on business requests and analysis of customer quotes. Work with Line Management to establish clear, competitive pricing guidelines.
Collaboration with Stakeholders :
Sales and Trade Management Coordination : Partner closely with Trade Management to meet or exceed trade budgets, contributing to the annual trade business plan, and work with the HQ Trade team to align local strategies with international objectives.Tender and Quoting Support : Support the completion of local tenders in close coordination with headquarters and account managers, and ensure MyPrice quote requests are competitive and well-aligned with customer needs.Data and Performance Monitoring :
Utilization and Data Review : Conduct daily utilization reviews, setting short-term action plans to optimize trade performance.Reporting and Analysis : Contribute to the weekly trade report and monitor customer performance through CRM, leveraging data analytics to identify trends and recommend improvements to customer engagement.Customer-Specific Allocation and Market Insight :
Set allocations specific to customer agreements and analyze market demand to suggest service improvements based on market studies.Maintain close communication with headquarters, attending regular calls to discuss performance, challenges, and solutions.Who are you?
Prior experience in the maritime shipping or logistics sector is essential for success in this role.A degree in business administration, logistics, or a related discipline.Proficiency in English is required, knowledge of French or Dutch is plus.Proficiency in MS Office, CRM, and other relevant internal systems; strong analytical skills to support data-driven decisions.Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities; customer-oriented, with excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively handle high-stress, dynamic environment
