Interim Procurement & Vendor Governance Specialist (3–6 months)
🧭 Role Overview
Yokogawa Europe is seeking a seasoned Interim Procurement & Vendor Governance Specialist. This expert will bring an objective perspective (“cold eye”) to assess, strengthen, and streamline procurement and vendor management processes, ensuring alignment with Yokogawa’s compliance standards and operational excellence goals.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate current vendor onboarding practices and approval workflows across Europe.
- Identify risk areas and gaps in procurement process compliance, with reference to GMS-520 guidelines.
- Support audit readiness through documentation, traceability, and control process improvements.
- Conduct critical reviews of Preferred Suppliers and the Approved Supplier List.
- Ensure ethical and regulatory compliance per Yokogawa’s Code of Conduct and CSR procurement principles.
- Provide practical and strategic guidance on procurement policy enforcement, especially in decentralized execution environments.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align on action plans and findings.
- Deliver a clear set of recommendations and implementation plans at project close.
🛠️ Qualifications & Experience
10+ years in procurement, vendor governance, or supply chain audit roles, preferably within multinationals.Proven experience managing risk and compliance in procurement frameworks.Familiarity with European regulatory procurement standards and vendor qualification frameworks.Strong analytical skills with the ability to provide objective, data-driven insights.Comfortable engaging with senior leadership and navigating cross-functional teams.Fluency in English; Japanese is a plus.🧩 Preferred Traits
