Project Manager

An exciting opportunity has opened up for a dedicated and proactive project manager.
As a project manager you will be responsible for leading and managing capital equipment manufacturing projects from inception to completion. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, procurement, manufacturing, quality assurance, and customer service, to ensure the timely and most cost-effective delivery of projects while meeting quality standards and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
To manage all internal and customer projects or custom orders with a varied degree of complexity from start to finish.
Project Planning and Execution:
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budgets.
- Coordinate project activities and assign tasks to team members.
- Monitor project progress, identify and resolve issues, and mitigate risks. Review, interpret, adjust and commit MRP planned orders for procurement and production and take appropriate action on exceptions.
- Ensure adherence to project schedules and budgets.
- Report on improvement initiatives (process, cost, quality)
Stakeholder Management:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with customers to understand their requirements and expectations.
- Provide regular project updates to stakeholders, including status reports, milestone achievements, and potential risks.
Resource Management:
- Coordinate and allocate resources, both internal and external, to ensure project success.
- Manage and motivate project teams, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
- Identify and address any resource gaps or conflicts that may impact project progress.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Implement quality control processes to monitor and maintain product quality throughout the manufacturing process.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and resolve any quality issues.
Cost Control:
- Develop and manage project budgets, including cost estimation and forecasting.
- Monitor project expenses and implement strategies to minimize costs without compromising quality.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Required Capabilities:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of project management experience within a manufacturing environment or similar industry.
- A recognized Project Management qualification Prince 2 Practitioner (or willing to work towards this)
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams. Able to set an example and ensure that those under their (indirect)management, or working in their area of responsibility, are aware of, and comply with their roles & responsibilities.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficient in project management tools and software.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong financial and business acumen. Strong analytical skills coupled with practical, hands on problem solving approach.
- High energy and drive.
- Matrix management experience would be considered a plus.
- IT literate with specific experience using ERP, Project management package, MS suite.
- Fluent in written and spoken Dutch and English. German would be considered a plus
- Full driving license.
- To participate fully in Continuous Improvement (LEAD) activities where necessary & when required.
