Job description
The Opportunity
You will own the end-to-end packaging development lifecycle , from concept and requirements definition to detailed design, validation, and global launch. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will ensure that every packaging solution meets rigorous technical, regulatory, and market-specific standards - while delivering a premium unboxing experience that delights consumers.
This role goes beyond aesthetics : you will drive innovation in materials, sustainability, manufacturability, and supply chain efficiency, ensuring alignment across stakeholders, suppliers, and regional markets.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Packaging Development : Lead the full packaging journey—from initial concept and requirement setting to detailed 2D / 3D engineering, prototyping, testing, and mass production release
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner closely with marketing, product design, supply chain, regulatory, and regional sales teams to define packaging strategies that meet brand, consumer, and business needs
- Design & Engineering Excellence : Deliver precise technical designs using advanced CAD tools, with strong attention to design for manufacturing (DfM) , design for assembly (DfA) , material selection, and structural integrity
- Prototyping & Validation : Develop physical and digital prototypes; lead testing protocols to validate performance, durability, and user experience under real-world conditions
- Requirements & Risk Management : Define and manage packaging requirements, conduct risk assessments (FMEA) , and follow structured development methodologies (e.g., V-model ) to ensure compliance and traceability
- Sustainability Leadership : Drive eco-conscious innovation by developing packaging solutions that minimize environmental impact—reducing materials, increasing recyclability, and eliminating unnecessary components—without compromising protection or brand perception
- Data & Lifecycle Management : Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation and design data within the enterprise PLM system (e.g., Windchill) , ensuring full traceability and audit readiness
- Supplier & Market Engagement : Collaborate with external packaging suppliers and regional teams to ensure global scalability, cost efficiency, and local market compliance.
