Are you eager to improve our logistics network? Ensuring that our operational colleagues have the right IT tools to maximize the value of our warehouse? Moreover, are you the one that ceases the opportunity and brings it to the finish line by working closely with the IT innovation colleagues? Then the role of Logistics Process Engineer within the Capacity Steering product, is the one for you.
How do you make our customers happy?
By the time customers cast a satisfied glance on their order confirmation, our work is mostly completed. As it should be, to successfully deliver on same-day and next-day delivery promises. And with 13MM customers who can choose from over 32MM products sourced by 51K partners and delivered from multiple warehouses, that’s a tall order. Our four Capacity Steering product teams are in charge of building these IT tools from the ground up. Including tools that predict customer behavior, so we’re always prepared. This calls for leveraging advanced data science models and a talent for balancing goals, from reducing costs to improving the customer experience and advancing our sustainability ambitions. Your role is to ensure our innovations work as advertised in our complex logistics network.
What you do as a Logistics Process Engineer?
Together with your product team, you explore problems and identify opportunities. Some of which may seem obvious, others not so much. You help the team decide on which topics to focus on and translate theoretical solutions into ‘workable’ products in the context of our logistics network. You collaborate with experts, including developers who built it, to drive the implementation of your solutions. How can you best bring these projects across the finish line? And how can you maximize their value for bol, our customers, and partners?
This position challenges your analytical skills : crunch complex puzzles and connect the right people and ideas. Design reliable, scalable, and future-proof processes, and leverage your powers of persuasion and communication to identify relevant stakeholders, get them on board, and keep them engaged. And flex your project management skills by determining the right approach and managing progress in a complex environment.
