Qualifications
- Customer-centric and solution-oriented mindset
- Strong understanding of logistics and customer needs
- Knowledge of transportation methods, warehouse requirements, and incoterms
- Ability to interact and collaborate effectively with customers and vendors, maintaining high integrity
- Experience in guiding and improving sales skills within a team
- Over 5 years of experience in sales within transportation, forwarding, or warehousing sectors
- Management experience
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- Good understanding of Dutch
Job Description
Identify and acquire new customers for transportation services to achieve operational income targetsProvide transportation rate quotes for customer and freight forwarder inquiriesLead a team of sales executives specializing in road freight, transportation, warehousing, and freight forwardingConduct weekly meetings with the sales teamSource competitive rates from various suppliers (Hauliers, Co-Loaders, Transportation Companies)Respond to new shipment or storage inquiries from existing customers and freight forwardersFollow up on sent offersManage customer and inquiry data entry into the CRM systemOrganize supplier visits to enhance company capabilities for cost reductionConduct new customer visitsPerform trend analysis and market research to identify target customers and marketsDevelop sales strategies on a weekly, monthly, and yearly basisHandover secured business to the Operations team with all necessary detailsPrepare sales reports and participate in company-scheduled meetings and social activitiesCommit to operating in line with the Safety, Health & Environmental programPlan and strive to meet annual budget targets
