Lead Structural Engineer

Now you can help us to plot a course into the future of maritime engineering on your DEME journey as a Lead Engineer.

Your responsibilities
As a Lead Engineer, you will play a key role in the preparation and execution of our offshore projects. You will collaborate with colleagues of different nationalities and disciplines, and you will be working in our HQ or Breda offices. You will develop method statements for our works before we go execute them offshore, reviewing and checking Orcaflex work from the engineering department and detailed engineering reports and procedure.

When you are on site, you optimize and implement the method statements in practice and take the lead when necessary. You also take care of ad hoc needs of the project and actively respond to questions from the project management. You will ensure objectives are met on time and on budget, as well as making sure our vessels receive the logistics support, they need to deliver our projects.

Your profile
• You are a qualified civil or industrial engineer, preferably in construction or electro-mechanics.
• You have a keen interest or knowledge in marine, hydraulic engineering and/or subsea cables.
• Budgeting, calculation and/or execution of civil works is right in your wheelhouse.
• Your communication is on point.
• You are either willing to travel on rotation or flexible to work from our HQ in Belgium.
• You are able to express yourself fluently in spoken and written English.
