We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer to support the engineering and detailed 3D design of hazardous waste incineration plants for industrial and chemical waste applications. The role will focus on translating process concepts into fully engineered, constructible 3D designs, covering high‑temperature thermal treatment systems and associated balance of plant.
The position will work closely with process, mechanical, and project engineering teams to deliver bespoke incineration solutions, including rotary kilns, secondary combustion chambers, heat recovery systems, and flue gas treatment units.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed 3D designs and layouts for hazardous waste incineration plants, including rotary kilns, combustion chambers, waste feeding systems, ash handling, and flue gas cleaning equipment.
- Translate process flow diagrams (PFDs) and P&IDs into accurate 3D plant models, general arrangement drawings, and piping layouts.
- Produce manufacturing and fabrication drawings, equipment assemblies, and installation packages.
- Coordinate design interfaces between mechanical, piping, civil, electrical, and process disciplines.
- Support equipment selection and integration, including refractory‑lined components, steel structures, and high‑temperature systems.
- Generate bills of materials, material take‑offs, and technical documentation for procurement and fabrication.
- Participate in design reviews, HAZOPs, and safety‑by‑design discussions.
- Provide engineering support during construction, commissioning, and as‑built documentation phases.
- Ensure compliance with applicable mechanical standards, environmental regulations, and project‑specific requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.Proven experience in 3D design of industrial process plants.Strong background in hazardous waste incineration, thermal treatment, or comparable heavy process industries (e.g. chemical, power generation, cement).Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Autodesk Plant 3D / Inventor, or equivalent.Solid understanding of piping design, steel structures, high‑temperature equipment, and plant layout principles.Experience working on freelance or project‑based engineering assignments is advantageous.Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving ability, and technical communication skills.If this is suitable please apply or send your CV to Pradip.Tran@g2recruitment.com
