As an experienced IT professional with management experience, you will manage the IT department of The British School in The Netherlands (BSN) and execute your strategic vision for the future of IT in our school. In this exciting and rewarding role, you will lead the IT department, oversee the IT infrastructure, security and technical support of all sites. You will engage continuously with the Heads of schools and their senior leaders, managers of other (central) departments, teachers and support staff, to extend safe, responsible and creative use of technology. You will ensure that the technology programme and services meet the educational needs (EdTech) as well as communication needs of the schools. The BSNs EdTech strategy ensures that the learning benefits are firmly in focus and provides the best environment and the best tools for great learning to occur. You will give advice about staff learning and training opportunities to meet diverse needs relating to integration of technology into school programming, and will adjust the onsite support accordingly. You will be part of the senior leaders of the BSN, making strategic decisions and implementing them.

The BSN is based in and around The Hague. We have three campuses which house two Junior Schools and two Senior Schools and another HQ office for our Central Services departments. Our enrolment comprises of more than 2, students, aged 3-, from over different countries.
The CEO leads the BSN and each school is led by an experienced Headteacher. Together with the CFOO, CHRO and the Head of Communications & Admissions, the Board of Management runs the schools on a daily basis, leads strategic change and school improvement whilst also overseeing operational efficiency and effectiveness. A professionally staffed Central Services provides strong support for school operations of all campuses and development in the areas of Human Resources, Communications & Admissions, IT, Operations & Facilities, Finance and Security & Data Protection.
