Overview
Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Data Manager to join a global leader in clinical research and healthcare analysis for a remote position . The Senior Data Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering clinical data management services for global trials, ensuring data integrity, regulatory compliance, and client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Independently manage end-to-end delivery of data management services for clinical trials, ensuring quality, timeliness, and budget compliance
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, lead negotiations, maintain strong relationships, and ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled
- Provide mentorship and training to junior staff, lead cross-functional teams, and act as a subject matter expert or site lead when needed
- Oversee service performance, implement quality management plans, resolve data issues, and drive continuous process improvements
- Manage budgets and scope of work, support business development activities including RFPs and bid defenses, and ensure accurate financial tracking
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in health, clinical, biological, or mathematical sciences or a related fieldMinimum of 7 years in clinical data management including at least 5 years in a project leadership role managing global trialsAdvanced knowledge of data management processes including SAE reconciliation, vendor data integration, and clinical trial technologiesStrong understanding of Good Clinical Practices, regulatory guidelines, and the clinical drug development processProven ability to lead complex customer negotiations, manage stakeholder communications, and present at professional conferences or workshopsCompensation
